The Brits really do know leathergoods! This is a really lovely, Made in England ostrich leather handbag from Fassbender. Really graceful, while heavy duty, with a high, ostrich-wrapped metal frame and hinges, and reinforced sides and bottom. The bag has brass bars on the bottom, acting as protective feet. a brass snap clasp, and brass fittings for the handle. The lining is pale tan suede leather, with two pockets and a matching suede coin purse with kiss clasp. There's a "Fassbender / Made in England" label. The nearly rigid handles have a 2" drop. The bag measures 9" wid by 6 1/2" high by 4 1/2" deep. Excellent vintage condition. No problems.
